Boro Park Marks Yahrtzeit of ‘Baal Hatanya’

Members of the Boro Park Jewish community gathered last night to mark the yahrtzeit of the Alter Rebbe, or as he is known to them – the Baal Hatanya, who passed away on 24 Teves in 1813.

The farbrengen took place at the Lubavitch Shul, located on the corner of 16^th Ave. and 48^th Street.

Leading the farbrengen was Rabbi Nachman Yosef Twerski, himself a scion of great Chassidic Rebbes of Eastern Europe.
