Global Achdus Farbrengen in Memory of Levi Wolowick

In Honor of Chag HaGeula, 19 Kislev all English speaking shluchim were invited by The Beis Hamedrash L’shluchim, to partake in a Global Achdus Farbrengen with Rabbi Yossi Lew of Chabad Peachtree City, GA, For the worldwide family of Shluchim.

The “Physical” farbrengen was hosted by Rabbi Zalman Wolowick of Cedarhurst, Chabad of the Five Towns, in Memory of his son Levi Yitzchok A”h which this year Chof Kislev would have been his Bar-Mitzva.

It was Sunday Night, 19 Kislev at 8:00 PM when the local community streamed in. Later at 10:30 the Fabrengen shifted toward the heimishe crowed of Shluchim (as Shluchim who were around or live nearby were encouraged to join the Farbrengen in person). At this point, the Farbrengen was joined by some 300 Shluchim via Live Broadcast on ShluchimExchange. Another 100 shluchim were to join throughout the night, while another 50 Shluchim tuned in by telephone.

The Nekuda focused on was how Toras HaChassidus enables us to remove the limitations of time and place by learning and living from its wellsprings. The farbrengen also revolved around the Sicha where the Rebbe explains The Magids explanation on “Malachim Mammosh” (when Yaakov Avinu sent Malochim to Eisav) = only their physicality was sent, however their essence remained with him. So too by us Shluchim, although physically far, our essence, inspirations and “Spiritual Buttons” remain with our Meshaleiach the Rebbe (lekutei sichos Chelek Yud)

Some participating Shluchim include: Rabbi Tuvia Teldon of Chabad Long Island, Rabbi Yossef Chaim Kantor of Bangkok, Thailand, Rabbi Leibel Wolowick of Montreal – father of local Shliach, and others.

The Farbrengen continued with a shturem till 3:00 AM with near 100 shluchim still eagerly listening.

there has been this horrible dissonance created between Anash, Shluchim, Baalei Battim etc. Hopefully this divide will be overcome by those ‘in power’.

May G-d A-lmighty send us Moshiach Now!!

Oh, you’re not a Shliach, so it’s okay for you not be B’achdus with them. But when an initiative is formed that a Farbrengen is made especially for people who have ni chance to participate in a Farbrengen, since they are the Farbrengen where they are – you come to complain. Go enjoy your meat, yogurt and ice cream where you are, and complain and grumble about those Taavos, and leave those that stand Bimsiras Nefesh all their lives alone.
