Friendship Circle Boys Celebrate Yud Shvat

The boys division of the Friendship Circle of Brooklyn gathered on Thursday night for a very special Farbrengen in honor of Yud Shvat.

Upon arrival, the boys together with their volunteers sat down to decorate their own Tzedaka boxes, The guys expressed their excitement to fill their new and personalized Pushkas, each sharing with their volunteers what their favorite organization is.

The craft wall followed by a hearty Seudah, accompanied by singing Nigunim of the Frierdiker Rebbe and the Rebbe.

Rabbi Berel Majesky introduced the guest speaker, Rabbi Yaakov Sebag who told the famous story of a young boy who entered to a Yechidus with the Rebbe, he was about to be Bar Mitzva and was not planning on continuing his Jewish education, the Rebbe gently asked the boy if he played baseball, using the game as a metaphor for life. Yaakov encouraged the boys to “be players” and not merely bystanders.

The formal part of the evening ended with a unique game in honor of Yud Shvat, prepared by Boys Division Coordinator, Yossi Smoller.
