Holocaust Survivor Tells His Story at Beis Shmuel

Men and women from the Crown Heights community participated in an unforgettable evening at Beis Shmuel, featuring a presentation by a man who as a young boy escaped the German angel of death time and time again.

Eighty-year old Leibel Zisman, born 1931 to a prominent family in Kovno, Lithuania, was just a young boy when he lost his parents and two of his siblings to the Nazis.

With great courage and unbending faith, he survived the atrocities of the concentration camps alone, reuniting after the war with his older brother, his only surviving sibling.

At the event, he told the moving account of his ordeal and survival, as well as his subsequent connection with the Frierdiker Rebbe in New York.
