Siyum of 4 Sifrei Torah to Open Kinus Hashluchim!

This year’s Kinus Hashluchim will begin in a unique and grand fashion with the completion of four Sifrei Torah, along with the beginning of a fifth Torah, which are being dedicated to the Rebbe “who sent Shluchim worldwide to care for all Jews.”

The celebrations will commence at 5:00pm on Wednesday, October 30th, at Yeshivas Chovevei Torah with the completion of the final letters of four Sifrei Torah, and the beginning of a fifth Sefer Torah. The festivities will continue at 6:30pm with a parade down Eastern Parkway towards 770, where the traditional Hakofos will be held with the participation of singer Avraham Fried.

The five Sifrei Torah have been donated anonymously in honor of the Rebbe and the thousands of Shluchim he sent to all corners of the world “to care for Kol Hayehudim Baolom [all the Jews in the world]. The four Sifrei Torah to be completed on Wednesday are symbolic of the four corners of the world – mentioned in the Pasuk of ‘Uforatzta’ that the Rebbe often invoked regarding the Shluchim – and will be donated to various Chabad Houses around the world.

The Va’ad HaKinus invites the Shluchim and all of Anash to participate in this unique celebration. Refreshments will be served throughout the event, and a special program for children will begin at 5:30pm, which will be conducted by singer Chaim Fogelman.
