Eagle Eyed Crown Heights Resident Calls Shomrim On Porch Pirate, Thief Arrested

A recidivist thief with an extensive criminal history was nabbed again Thursday when an eagle eyed community member called Shomrim after witnessing a crime.
The incident went down Thursday afternoon when the sharp eyed witness saw the thief lifting packages from local porches and dialed Crown Heights Shomrim, notifying them of the thefts and the thief’s location.
The volunteers of Crown Heights Shomrim arrived quickly and began tailing the man while calling 911.
The thief, well experienced, noticed the volunteers following him and began to run, attempting to shake the volunteers and get away. Ultimately that failed, and when the police arrived they were directed to the thief’s location by Shomrim where he was placed in cuffs and taken to the precinct.
