Thief Snatches iPhone Right Out of Bochur’s Hands

Crown Heights [CHI] — At around 8:00pm on Sunday, an Israeli Kvutzeh Bochur was sitting outside the bagel shop on Kingston Ave. when an African-American male approached him and snatched his iPhone right out of his hands.

The perpetrator then fled to Union St. and continued down toward Brooklyn Ave. The bochur took off after him in pursuit, along with a friend and another eyewitness.

They lost him briefly on the corner of Brooklyn Ave. and Union St., when they realized that he had run into the alleyway. The thief continued to try and shake off his pursuers; he cut through private property back onto Union St. (taking off his shirt to try and throw them off). Thankfully, the Bochurim were in good shape and remained hot on his heels up to the corner of New York Ave.

When the perp arrived at the building on the corner of Union St. and New York Ave., an accomplice allowed him inside through a side door, through which the bochurim were unable to follow.

In the meantime, residents of Union St. heard the commotion and called 911 and Shomrim. The police arrived shortly after Shomrim, and swarmed the building from all sides.

A group of African-American teenagers accosted the cops inside the building, trying to impede them and acting rowdy. The cops remained calm and acted very professionally, arresting one suspect – who resisted violently.

The iPhone was not recovered.

    A lady once stole my sons bike, I got it back by following her and calling the police. When they asked if I want to charge her with nothing, I said no. I thought for the harmony bet blacks and yidden I’ll just tell her to be honest to herself and do the right thing. These pole r animals. For the few times they r caught, do not let them get away with just returning the object. Animals, and no I’m not a racist but many of their behaviors warrant this honorary title.

    I am glad that he got caught and no one was hurt. But this is just one more reason that bochurim should not have iPhones.

    That’s rediculous! Anyone, bochur or not should be able to hold anything they want in their hands while out in the street. yes, these people are animals! And surveillance cameras Should be put up in more places . Maybe we should stop walking around all together according to what you are saying. We have the right to walk around ith anything we want and should not have to stop living that way because of some lo life teenagers.

    This is totally irrelavent here. You are all missing the point, and that is blatant crime in broad daylight in our neighborhood. That is what needs to be address and fast. Not what was stolen.

    I mean that is like saying it’s a woman’s fault for being assaulted because she is beautiful.

    The problem with this criminal and all the others that live in CH is that they are greedy. Their schools and parents should teach them that delicate shade of difference between ‘mine’ and ‘yours’ which they can’t seem to grasp. I’m so grateful to be among a people that however poor they are (and I know many) would sooner die than hit an old lady over the head and take her posessions.

    As a black Orthodox jew that can trace my lineage with written documentation as far back as 1798 (which most of you guys can’t), its always interesting to see how jews, once the oppressed, criticize other minorities, and have become the oppressors, you should feel compassion for these youths who are on the wrong path, instead of calling a set of people animals, take a look in the mirror. Most financial crimes committed against society are done by jews, these crimes have cause millions to loose their homes and countless families to be homeless and thousands to take their lives due to the scams of our fellow jews, all of which were white. Every race has bad apples, try not to generalize.

    The bochur, who had his iphone stolen has every right to walk down the street with it and to defend himself if he is attacked. Why dosen’t President Obama or his lame Attorney General Eric Holder denounce this incident? Because they are racist hypocrites. If the races were reversed, they would be all over this story, but because it is a black on white hate crime, they are no where to be found. No doubt, the perp who stole the bochur’s iphone is probably an Obama voter or fan himself. Yes that is right, I will bring up Obama’s name, since it is the same antisemitic mentality of these perps that sides with Obama.
