Police Arrest Teen over Motzei Shabbos Shooting

Gunshots rang out on Carroll Street as men were returning home from Shul after Shabbos two weeks ago. One man was struck twice by bullets and was rushed to the hospital. This morning, police announced the arrest of the suspected shooter.

The incident occurred Motzei Shabbos, November 9th. A man was standing on the steps of 1510 Carroll Street, which is between Albany and Troy Avenues, when another man passed by and shot him twice.

Last night, detectives from the 71st precinct took Marlon Willocks, a 19-year-old black male who resides in the confines of the 77th precinct, into custody, and slapped him with a litany of charges, including: attempted murder, felony assault, assault with intent to cause serious harm, as well as criminal possession of a loaded firearm.

Detectives believe that the shooting was motivated by a longstanding dispute between the two men over a woman, whom neither has a familial relation to.
