Men Returning from Shul Witness Shooting

An African-American male was shot tonight on Carroll St. between Albany and Troy Aves., just as several of his neighbors were returning home from Shul. He was treated on the scene by EMS and rushed to Kings County Hospital.

Sources said the man is expected to survive.

The motive of the shooter is unclear, and the incident is being investigated by police.

    The crime has become out of control! There has to be more we can do as a community! Where are the (obviously useless) people from our Community Council? What on earth do they do?? Baffling!

    I ONCE WITNESSED A YOUNG MOTHER WITH A NEWBORN AND A TODDLER SHLEPPING PACKAGES SHE DOUBLE PARKED FOR A SECOND ON A WIDE STREET THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC…I WATCHED A 71ST PRECINCT COP PULL UP GIVE HER A TICKET (BEHIND HER BACK,LITERATELY) AS SHE LEFT THE CAR WITH A NEW BORN AND TODDLER IN TOW ,IT WAS OBVIOUS SHE JUST WANTED TO BRING HER KIDS/PACKAGES IN AND THEN LOOK FOR A SPOT…PERHAPS IF THIS CAR WAS CAUSING TRAFFIC, AN ARGUMENT CAN BE MADE BUT ON THAT DAY MY RESPECT FOR A POLICEMEN FROM THE 71 WENT OUT THE WINDOW.

    i ONCE HAD AN IDEA, IF A COP FROM 71ST DOES SOMETHING THATS IS WRONG .. WE SHOULD HAVE A WALL OF SHAME FOR THAT COP.
