Jewish Storeowner Shot and Killed R”L

Yoseph Robinson (Center) with two unidentified friends.

A Jewish liquor storeowner was shot and mortally wounded just a short while ago, Hatzalah responded to the scene on Avenue J and rushed the patient to Kings County Hospital, where he was just pronounced dead on arrival.

The owner was identified as Yosef Robinson, a Ger Tzedek.

Initial reports say that a armed black man walked into the store, located on Avenue J and Nostrand Avenue, and attempted to rob it, when something went wrong and the suspect shot the owner multiple times.

I dont think he was the owner, he was a worker, I’ve met him several times and he was kind, patient and honest. May his soul have a speedy aaliyah.

EVEN ONE IS ONE TOO MANY

MAY HIS NESHAMA HAVE AN ALIYAH

Amen to what you said, R.F. May his neshama have a speedy Aaliyah. So sad. When is the Levayah, and I hope they will pass by 770. I am a Gerress myself, and I know how difficult it can be, and I “blend” in sort of. I’m sure he had many difficult tests on his journey. I know he was working on a book, I hope it will still be published soon. Please publish details of the funeral and where he will be buried soon. And may Hashem comfort all of us as we mourn a Ger Tzedek, with all the other mourners of zion. May we experience immediate relief from our suffering with the ultimate Geulah in Yerushalayim!

He was NOT the owner, but a humble employee. The pic is of him when he lived in L.A., prior to his Giyur. He was truly an exceptional fellow, who sought to publish a book about his journey of finding Yidishkeit, which will surely inspire many to come closer to HKB”H.H_Shem Yikom Damo. That guy in the CAR is actually him prior to coming into frumkeit. It is NOT the shooter.

  • BPYID

The guy in the car is not the shooter!!! It is yosef before he became a Jew!!! Baruch Dayan Emes, Yosef came to yidishkeit after being involved in the music/hip hop scene of LA. He has a special neshoma!

Thank you for posting the funeral info. Please pass by 770. The Rebbe once said to a Shliach who said, “but he’s just a Ger,” that the Ger has a higher neshama than “you or me.” Please pass by 770.

I live on the street in back of the store. He was a very refined and nice man. What a shame. Not happy about the neighborhood but noticed that the store was open very late. Open door and he would be alone. We must be careful!!
