As usual, something’s wrong with the comic.

The comic says “Worshipped by the Jews after receiving the first tablets”

The calf was actually worshipped BEFORE moshe came down with the actual tablets. The first tablets were never even received by the Jews, because Moshe Rabbeinu smashed them apon seeing the worship of the golden calf.

I’m assuming what you actually meant was after the Jews received the 10 commandments, not the tablets.

Furthermore, I don’t think that the terrible sin of the golden calf, which we still suffer the consequnses of today, is a joking matter.

Furthermore, it’s halachicly questionable if you are allowed to make a drawing (even in jest) of an idol.

Oy, when are these comics going to become “kosher”?

    To “D.Chossid”,

    you’re absolutely right.
The Jews worshipped the calf before the tablets were given and this comic got it wrong.

Furthermore, it is totally inappropiate to make a joke out of something so serious. Rather, we should all quit our jobs and sit on the floor all day with sackcloth and ashes on our head and mourn the golden calf.

Furthermore, we should not allow this comic to have any images of animlas in it since PETA worships animals.

These comics need to become “glatt kosher” for sure!
