Lubavitch International Takes Its Conversation Online With New Substack Platform

by CrownHeights.info

Lubavitch International, the flagship publication of the Chabad-Lubavitch movement, has expanded its digital presence with the launch of a new Substack platform, offering readers a new way to engage with the publication between issues.

The new Lubavitch International on Substack will provide a free weekly email featuring articles selected by the editorial team, along with original digital-only content created specifically for the platform. The content will include essays, videos, podcasts and poetry, with readers also invited to participate through live Q&A sessions and an active comments section.

The launch comes as the Jewish world continues to grapple with the impact of October 7, rising antisemitism and growing divisions between Jewish communities in Israel and the Diaspora.

Those issues are explored in the current issue of Lubavitch International in a symposium titled “What Unites Us Now?” The symposium brings together Jewish voices from Israel and America to examine what continues to unite the Jewish people and what threatens to divide them, drawing on the teachings and perspective of Chabad Chasidism.

The publication points to the recent “Jewish awakening” in Israel as another example of the continuing relevance of Jewish tradition. During Sukkot, passengers aboard FlyDubai Flight 1073 were heard singing the Chasidic phrase, “The whole world is a very narrow bridge, and the main thing is not to be afraid,” following a frightening incident on their flight.

For Lubavitch International, moments such as these reflect the growing connection many Jews are finding with Jewish wisdom and tradition.

The new Substack is intended to extend that conversation beyond the pages of the magazine, providing readers with regular content and a more interactive way to engage with the publication and its contributors.

Lubavitch International’s Substack is free to subscribe to, and readers can sign up to receive the weekly updates and digital-only content.
