Chassidim Gather at the Ohel in Preparation for Gimmel Tammuz
Hundreds of Chassidim and Bochurim spent this past Shabbos at the Rebbe’s Ohel to strengthen their connection to the Rebbe in preparation for the holy day Gimmel Tammuz.
The Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim arranged a roster of Shiurim and Farbrengens for the benefit of the many Bochurim to assist in using the time spent near the Rebbe to its fullest.
On Friday night, Rabbis Gourarie and Kaplan gave Shiurim in Yiddish and Hebrew in the Rebbe’s sichos on the theme of Hiskashrus to the Rebbe. Later on, they both Farbrenged drawing large crowds.
“In general, the more I use out the time in learning and Farbrenging, the more I feel the benefits of spending a Shabbos by the Rebbe,” said a bochur who was there. “The Shiurim and Farbrengens arranged by the Vaad this Shabbos contributed to this Shabbos in a major way.”
After Tehilim and Davening Shabbos morning, Rabbi Kaplan gave a Shiur in English to a very large crowd in the sicha of Yud Shevat 5726. Farbrengens in Yiddish, English, Hebrew, and French followed later in the afternoon, led by Rabbis Levi Azimov (Paris), Yosef Gourarie (Detroit), Yosef Greenberg (Alaska), Shlomo Kaplan (Brooklyn), and Shlomo Wilhelm (Ukraine). Some of these Farbrengens carried on till late in the night Motzei Shabbos.
Preparations are well underway on a program for Shabbos at the Rebbe’s Ohel for this week Gimmel Tammuz. A full line-up of inspirational Shiurim and Farbrengens in multiple languages as well as a children’s program will be offered.
