Photos: The Rebbe’s Platform Gets Facelift

The platform along the southern wall of 770, upon which the Rebbe would sit during Farbrengens, got a facelift yesterday. Crown Heights repairman Yitzy Vail sanded and buffed the hardwood floor, restoring the revered ‘Bimah’ to its former glory.

    To restore bais chayaynu to it’s former glory the next step is to take down the Meshichist “wallpaper” , some of which is shown in the pictures. Is this a shul or a Meshichist clubhouse with :over the top” decor and hanahgos that are merachake Yiddin bechlal and Anash b’frat? Sadly, very sadly the answer is clear, and no one is willing or able to do anything about it.

    If number 3 has a problem with one saying the Rebbe is moshiach in the Rebbe’s shul .. Then number three has a choice of not going into 770 … Everyone has the right to believe who they feel and can be Moshiach .. Such is not against Torah and Yidishkeit .. I do not feel the shul has to respond to what the shul does .. If one is unhappy with the leaders of the shul call for elections and they can do as they please

      Yeah – many have a problem, a big problem, with saying the Rebbe zt”l is moshiach – and not only in “the Rebbe’s shul,” but everywhere. You can believe whatever you like, but it is not Torah and Yidishkeit, and it certainly doesn’t belong in any shul. In the Rebbe’s own words you are “fighting a war against him and against Toras HaBaal Shem Tov” with these false ideas that clearly are the cause of much strife and responsible for distancing many from Lubavitch and Chassidus. Take down the signs now. Isn’t 20 plus years of this idiocy enough already? Ad Mosai?

      It is indeed the Rebbe’s shul, and the Rebbe did not give anyone permission to make it look like a camp dining room during color war. The Rebbe emphasized that 770 belongs to Aguch, and yet certain people used force and violence to put the signs up agiainst the owners’ wishes, and to prevent the owners from taking them down. Everyone knows that if the building’s owners were able to take the signs down without being beaten or murdered r”l they would have done it many years ago.

    in videos there is tials on the bimah and in 5753 the whole bima was built in to a bleachers and rebuilt after 3 tamuz

    to # 6 if you do not hold the rebbe is moshiach then you are not a lubavitcher b/c every chosid holds his rebbe is moshiach like it says in gemara about discussions about moshiach it says in evry place the people hold that their rebbe is moshiach so befor you start speaking about mishichistim first find out if you r a lubavitcher

      11#- that is so true– that if a lubavicher chasid says that the rebbe is not moshiach that means that he is not a lubavicher — he is a am haoretz showing that u did not learn the rebbe’s sichos

      The gemoro does not say any such thing. During the Rebbe’s life, we hoped and felt that he would be Moshiach. Nobody knew it for sure, and if someone else had turned out to be Moshiach the Rebbe would have welcomed that person, whoever he was, and we would have followed his lead. Once the Rebbe passed away, though, everything changed. For 2000 years we have expected and beleived that there is always a living person who is ready to become Moshiach. Therefore this must be so now as well. Moshiach is somewhere, perhaps an officer in Tzahal, or sitting in a kollel somewhere, or on a farm, or begging on a street in Rome, keeping himself ready at all times and waiting for the signal.

    putting it out there….. look at the pictures of nun gimmel when the Rebbe came out on the balcony for davenings and yechi, you will see that there IS a yechi sign up already…. (and btw look at the kinus hashluchim picture(merkas of course) they are proudly displaying ANOTHER one of the yechi signs hanging in Beis Chayeinu)….. and this is all BEFORE gimmel tammuz, so stop looking to bash your fellow brothers and instead let us all daven for moshiach NOW despite having diff rent views….
