Six Day Winter Camp in Sydney

A few Sydney Shluchim banded together, worked hard, and managed to produce an exciting six day winter camp/Yeshivas Kayitz for the Lubavitch teens in Sydney, something that hasn’t been done in ten years!

The camp itself was divided into 2 parts: the first 2 days was just a day camp complete with amazing trips, while the following four days included overnighting in Australia’s capital city, and in Canberra by the local shliach Rabbi Avital.

There were so many incredible highlights, including the singing and dancing throughout the shabbos davening and seudos shabbos at the chabad house, raising the the spirits by all the attendees, topping it off by an inspiring farbrengen with Rabbi Avital!

Next came the twelve pesukim in the parliament house – a great act of purification! – then speeding down the streets of Olympic Park on Segways, to climbing and dangling off the ropes of Central coast.

These few great moments capture the heart of this winter camp. One that was filled with Chayus and comradery, imbued with chassidishkeit. All the people who were part of the camp left feeling inspired, empowered and uplifted.

Special thanks to, Binyomin Lubin, Abi Raskin, Baruch Simon, and Shmuly Posner for making it a reality!
