Shluchim Receive Training on Cloud Platform

65 shluchim, shluchos and Chabad House administrators and staff from as close as New York’s Upper West Side and as far away as Hawaii and Thailand gathered at Chabad House Bowery for a new initiative called “Face-to-Face with ChabadOne,” a daylong immersive training conference on the manifold tools and services offered by Chabad.org’s ChabadOne platform.

Participants had the opportunity to learn from ChabadOne product managers and trainers from Sites, Communicator, CRM and PR, including Rabbis Meir Simcha Kogan, Moshe Rosenberg, Moshe Baitelman, Avremel Mishulovin, Menachem Shanowitz, Chaim Landa, Yehouda Abecassis, Levi Galperin and Mordechai Lightstone. Rabbi Mendy Ezagui served as the MC for the day.

In addition to giving interactive presentations, the ChabadOne team was on hand to answer any questions the attendees had. The conference, where shluchim, shluchos and administrators had the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals, came at prime time as Chabad Houses worldwide are gearing up for the new year.

“If you want to keep up with more recent technology and better ways to manage your organization, the seminar is very helpful,” said Jamie Madnick of the Friendship Circle of Philadelphia. “If you had any questions after the presentations, there was time to meet with someone from the tech crew. They were very insightful and patient. It is also a great way to network with other individuals who are using the same technology and to gain contacts to collaborate with in the future. ”

Participants also had the opportunity to hear from Shainy Edelman of Click Consulting and Samir Mezrahi, who served as the Social Media Director for BuzzFeed—a cross-platform global network that generates 7 billion views each month—managing their Twitter account, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest pages.

“I left Face-to-Face with more knowledge and ideas that I have already begun to implement on my school’s website, emails and social media,” said Rochel Leah Kosofsky, of Longmeadow, Massachusetts. “Face-to-Face offered me new insights and validated what I am already doing for my school, Lubavitcher Yeshiva Academy.”
