New Program for Children of ‘Mekurovim’

col.org.il

Napierville, Canada — A unique program for children of Chabad associates was just launched in the Or Menachem Yeshiva.

This new successful program was carried out by a devoted and the professional staff that arranged a curriculum designed to the individual level of every student and includes weekly trips. The learning sessions are held in a beautiful and large building, with comfortable bedrooms and basketball court, etc.

This project provides students the possibility of completing secular studies that grant them a diploma.

Shluchim and students of the Yeshiva serve as mashpias of the children, whom they cater to within the programs, mivtzaim, farbrengens and trips.

This program is a solution to a common problem of many people who adopt an observant way of life, are unsure of where to send their children for eduction after realizing the local schools would not suffice.

The purpose of this program is to advance students in relevant Jewish subjects to the extent that they would be able to influence others at conclusion of their local studies and that they would continue their eduction at regular Chabad Yeshivas

  • I love the idea!!

Now this need to be done for the girls too!!! Every summer when I go to help different shluchim for camp, I always meet people who want to come to a frum school, but just won’t fit in to Beis Rivkah or the other available ones. They need something small, separate and special

  • very very Disappointed

Ok Ok, this is Yeshivah is known in Montreal (where it is an 45 minutes away by drive) as one of the worst yeshivos to send your kids to.
I know someone who went there to deliver food or such, and told me that the place is near a farm and smells like who knows what… NO ONE in Montreal sends their kids there (with one exception)! You can see from the picture that it is near a farm and they are playing in the street.
And by the way the idea of the school being for the children only occured to them this year (or it occured to the reporter).
This yeshivah has a history of kids that dont return etc. etc.
Ask the parents of the kids who went there.

Please webby remember next time to make sure that you posts are accurate and true.

  • A Shliach in yeshiva

To – very very disappointed -:

I am a shliach in this yeshiva and everything you wrote in your comment is far from the truth.

Ive been in other yeshivahs and there is no other yeshiva which gives as much attention, care and love to the students as Yeshiva Or Menachem.
Ive seen with my own eyes (as a Teacher, Mashgiach and Dorm Counselor in yeshivah) every single one of the students progressing in their studies and increasing in their learning talents.

In terms of Gashmiyus in the Yeshivah:

its a beautiful campus – far from anything which would distract the students from learning.
they are NOT playing on the street! they are playing on the yeshiva basket ball court.

And besides…7 out of the 8 students are from montreal.

I personaly speak to the parents of the students, and they never had such Nachas from their child EVER!

  • Sugar coded lies,

Or menachem is heaven! Oh, And by the way… i have a bridge to sell.
If you care for a child send him to a real yeshiva.

  • bochur from or menachem

    This place is really great!!!!!!!!!!!!
    it helped me out alot
    thanks so much for everything

  • Mrs. Mann

I thank Hashem every day for a yeshiva like this. My son goes to this yeshiva and the warm and caring these boys get is great. They run a proffesional program and when problems arrise they are on top of it. They are tring to help boys where no other yeshiva would take them in. If these boys are not helped they might Chas Veshalom go off the darech. Instead of complaing help them. realising nothing is perfect will help.

  • Teacher

Perhaps the yeshiva is changing but I taught there both when it was up north and when it moved to its new location, and I can say that it is not professionally run, the 7/8 kids from Montreal are not from Lubavitch homes, and that salaries which are owed are not paid even when the “directors” admit to owing the money.

That is not to say that there are not some success stories and that all kids need a yeshiva to go to.
