Mayor-Elect of New York City Bill de Blasio met with Israeli President Shimon Peres today.
Both politicians preside over the two areas with the largest concentration of Jewish people in the world – New York City and Israel.
“I had the honor of meeting President Shimon Peres today, and discussing the close ties between New York City and Israel,” said Mayor-Elect de Blasio in his Twitter feed.
