  The picture is on hoshana rabba, not erev yom kippur. Check out the hoshaanos inside the newspaper…

  This pic is from early to mid mems. Who “decides” the usually erronious dates on these pictures?

  This is clearly Hoshaana Rabo in the early 80’s.

  I didn’t want to comment on the year as it might be lamed tes or mem (tishrei mem still ’79, so technically still late 70’s), but could also be mem alef. I don’t think it’s later than that, surely not mid mem’s, as the Rebbe’s beard was shorter and wider then.

• Black Cadillac

  Mr. Kutner (I think his name was) gave the Rebbe the black car in the early 80s (so this pic can’t be from the late 70s.)
