I’m very grateful to those who organized this wonderful event. However the event was called for 12pm and only got started at 12:57.

I was there with my two young children (5 and 4) at 11:55am and had to wait over an hour until it started.

This is not right. A time is a time. I came on time, I paid and its not fair to have to wait an hour with young children, who get restless pretty quick.

I was also surprised that parent rolled in about 12:45 not expecting that show to be rolling.

If even one paying parent is there on time, the show must begin on time!!!

Half way through the show my kids wanted to leave. Who can blame them. we were sitting there for an hour and forty minutes.

  • This was AWESOME!!

Thank you so much for arranging this. My kids had a blast!

  • not impressed

I took my boys together with their friends. I had two 4 year olds, and 2 five year olds. After starting 40 minutes AFTER it was scheduled to start, The twins asked men and ladies to separate. I dont know about you. I wont leave 4 pitzalach to sit between 8 and nine year old boys by themselves. After I came on time, and got the kids good seats, was I supposed to move them to the other side of the room, where they would be blocked by typical 8 year old boys who are naturally more aggressive than their younger counterparts and would have no problem shoving in front of them to see better? When I said something, a mechutzaf of a 12 years old kid, yelled at me, this is a lubavitch function, we have to be frum! If that was not laughable, nothing was. To top it off, at the end, they throw cards out for the kids to catch. I saw the big boys with as many as 15 cards in their hands,, I also saw little boys crying their eyes out. In my estimation there were about 1 in 5 kids crying at the end of the show, because they wanted to get cards too…. Definitely not a reason to ruin the kids time. I know that the bigger kids had fun pushing the little kids over so that they could chap up the cards, but is that the lesson we want to teach them? I guess the point of my rant is, if a mom only has boys, should she opt out of taking them to such a function? I paid the same $40 for my kids to be there, as the older kids,,,,

It’s beautiful except that it should be more separate boys and girls, men and women as it is suppose to be.
Hopefully, i will be able to attend without any worries.

    To #5

We pay we have the right to complain and anyhow are you from the parents that came 45 minutes after the event was to begin?

a time is a time!!!! Come on time!!!! Start on time!!!

i just had two children ages 4 and 5 and they got tired and restless from waiting…I could only imagine what it would have been like for parent with many children including babies.

We complain, because we want it to be better next time around.

It’s not about being “happy”. It’s about being professional and starting at least approximately on time. My kids waited an hour for the show to start. That’s just plain old being inconsiderate of other people’s time.

As far as separate seating is concerned, that’s fine. Just put in on the flyer so people know what to expect and then have signs at the location.

Hope the twins from France are reading this. Sorry I couldn’t have it translated into french.

    Bonne chance!
    (good luck)

  • another parent

The twins themselves only came at 12:15 thats not right. If your hired to do a job, COME ON TIME!!!!

Don’t come late and then start giving orders of how people should be seated.

  • not sure about all the negativity

but judging by the pictures, the kids had a blast

  • The Hot Dog Stand

Thank you Rabbi Karp for always being at school / PTA events with your delicious slush machine. You are so devoted! Even on your day off you came to set up the slush machine. Wow! You deserve great recognition.

  • can-t wait

    To five

    a few things…

    you either
    1)wasn’t there at all

    2)don’t have kids

3)if you were there and do have kids you probably came late anyways

    4) you were involved in organizing the event and instead of apologizing and taking upon to do better next time your justifying (being extremely late) by making us look small by simply complaining and may i add a justified complaint

4)don’t be self righteous with other peoples time

    5) I hope your not in customer service. I would hate to be waiting on a line with you behind the counter. next time you order pizza (with or without your kids) and it comes an hour late, remember “stop complaining”

  • a big fan

mabe they start late, but they have finish on time!
and we all know that 12:00 in chabad time is exactly 12:57
and mabe you paid $8 but their show cost much more, its like a brodway show that cost between $50 and $100 or more.
    sow be happy

  • Rightfully Upset Parent

I was also there right on time and had great seats for my son and daughter together. one hour later for the show to come in and tell everyone to separate is insane my son was left in front of two fat bigger boys who were literally fist fighting in front of my son. So I had to move him and obviously all the good seats were already taken so he ended up standing behind a bunch of other kids and was so upset. This after he looked forward excitedly all yom tov to see the french twins. If you want separate seating for young boys and girls, indicate this at THE BEGINNING OF THE EVENT and run the program on time so we don’t have to heat up in a hot area doing absolutely nothing for an hour. In addition, i agree with a comment made previously about throwing cards and stickers into the audience. My son was devastated not to be able to get either cards nor stickers because the crush of kids was too much to him. They could have given it out on the way out or in the beginning with the tickets. I will not go to see another french twin event.

  • pathetic show

that’s a laugh #12 – 50 – 100 dollars – they barely could keep their juggling act going without dropping pins and balls. not to mention the complete farce their act was with their extended unicycle. The whole show was an absolute mess. and jumping the bicycle on the other twins body while the kids look on in horror is ON PURPOSE? or a big fat mistake. either way it was pathetic.

  • what on earth ????

    pic #8
kids if u go to a show u shouldnt be playing on a psp!!!!!!

  • Dissapointed

For those of you who say we have no right to complain, you must have not been there. I have been to a few ULY events for chanuka etc. I stopped going because each time it is a disaster. They make as if it will be two hours of fun, when in reality it is generally 45 minutes of show time. They always start very late and end early, with lots of chaos. I had no intention to go this time, however since my kids saw the note which said “new tricks” (which didn’t exist) they really wanted to go. What a waste of money. I spend forty dollars and my kids left sweating and very disappointed. I will Not go back to another one of their events.

I think your so right! and for a school to be paying $1200 for there 45min show I would think they could be more professional…
