by Jay Sorid

Reason# 1 – Brooklyn Community District 17 Rezoning Vote By NYC Council

The City Council member for the 41st District will vote on the future rezoning of Brooklyn Community District 17 which includes Remsen Village & East Flatbush Rugby.

The NYC Council follows the vote of the local city council member (member deference).

Community Board 17 Rezoning Committee is currently awaiting a response from the Department of City Planning regarding a request for “Contextual” Rezoning.

The #1 reason why voting today doesn’t make a difference, is because Eli Cohen has no back bone to stand up for ANYTHING!!!! He agrees with everything they want.

Think about this, what are there ZERO Citi bikes in boro park & in Williamsburg!!!!
    Enough said.

@Vote – The Spectrum NewNY1 news link in article gives insight into the candidates’ views and how they may vote. Candidates have been not been asked about 777 Rutland or their views on the CD 17 rezoning. However, Challenger McIntosh is endorsed
by the left wing Working Families Party. Darlene Mealy has said street parking is a concern. CH Insider Podcast -> Future Town Halls? / Forums ?
