Gadi Hershkop is an invaluable staple in the Crown Heights community. He is as devoted to his community as he is to his own family, sensitive to their every need. He manages the transportation system for the Associated Beth Rivkah Schools as well as being charged with the security of community synagogues and institutions.

Gadi was one of the original Shomrim volunteers in 1991 in the heat of the infamous Crown Heights riots, and led a team of emergency responders to ground zero on 9-11-2001.

With his passion and determination for safety and community security, he ascended to lead the Shomrim organization from the early 1990’s and continues in this role today.

Gadi also serves as a liaison between the Crown Heights Jewish community and the NYPD and is an essential element in bridging the gap between community and police.
