Over 1000 Tefillin at the Israel Fest!
Once again, tens of thousands of Israelis as well as Jews form all walks of life gathered together at Woodley Park in Encino, California, to celebrate Israel Day Festival in the greater Los Angeles community.
Chabad of the Valley was there again this year with a series of educational booths. The centerpiece amongst them was a very well situated booth centrally located open to all four directions, reaching out and putting on Tefillin, and handing out Mivtzoim information throughout the day.
Tens of Shluchim as well as Anash from the Valley as well as from the greater Los Angeles area manned the booth and reached out successfully to so many.
According to Rabbi Yossi Malka, and Rabbi Yochanon Baitelman, the coordinators of the event, on behalf of Chabad of the Valley, over 1200 Neshe”k [Shabbos Candles] was given out as well as over 1000 Jews put on Tefillin.
