Photos, Videos: Rosh Chodesh Kislev in 770

A joyous celebration was held at Lubavitch World Headquarters-770 last night, commemorating the day the Rebbe left 770 for the first time after suffering a heart attack in 1977.

The annual Rosh Chodesh Kislev Farbrengen is considered a ‘Seudas Hoda’ah’ (meal of thanksgiving), and is one of the only events in 770 that attracts a diversified crowd of Crown Heights residents.

The Farbrengen, arranged for the past 28 years by Rabbi Meir Harlig, who also emceed the event, featured an inspiring address by guest speaker Rabbi Moshe Lazar, Shliach to Milan, Italy.

The formal Farbrengen was followed by joyous dancing until the late hours of the night, commemorating the joy that had filled 770 on the first ‘Rosh Chodesh Kislev’ in 5738 (1977).
