Yud Tes Kislev at YNS NJ – Rabbi O’s Yeshiva

Yud Tes Kislev was an unbelievable experience for all at YNS. Most of the bochurim took upon themselves to learn parts of a Ma’amer Ba’al Peh. Much preparation and effort was put into learning the Ma’amorim of Podoh B’Sholom and Vayishlach Yehoshua and when each bochur recited his part Ba’al Peh one was able to feel the intensity and electricity in the air.

A yasher koach to Habochur Hatomim Shmuly Bialestok, Mendel Kleinman, Elchonon Botnick, Mendy Lew, Zalman Levine, Yaakov Eckhaus, Dovi Calabro, Mendy Morgenstein, Melech Givre, Shneur Aharon, Sruly Slodowitz and Dovid Roetter on a job well done! A special raffle was held for these bochurim and the winner of the iPod touch was Sruly Slodowitz.

Rabbi Moishe Orimland pointed out that the beauty behind it all was to see how each bochur was there for the other bochur in helping, testing and pushing one another in order to be able to accomplish and make it happen.

Rabbi Yaacov Orimland, Rosh HaYeshiva, pointed out that when these bochurim first arrived to the yeshiva they never thought that something like this would be possible and in such a short time they defeated all odds. He also emphasized to the bochurim that in life a person has to deal with their situation knowing that they are the ones that can actually make it or break it.

The farbrengen went on until 3:30 a.m. where Rabbi ‘O’ told over many inspiring stories and delved greatly about the greatness of the Tanya on how it can be applied to the life of every single person.

Many thanks to Habochur Hatomim Mendel Kleinman and Mendy Morgenstein for their musical enhancement at the farbrengen with the playing of the keyboard and guitar where many niggunim were played.

The outcome of the farbrengen was another farbrengen at Shabbos lunch where Rabbi ‘O’ spent much time talking about a persons values in life and in reality how to make something of themselves. With the inspiration of Yud Tes Kislev bochurim were out full force on Sunday morning at Sam’s Club giving out Chanukah menorahs and candles.

    to Rabbi Orimland: Its just amazing the way you let each buchur shine. You do virtual magic the way you bring out the self confidence in the boys and prove to them that they really can excell in Limudei Torah – a gift that lasts for years to come. You did it with Yossi and now were fortunate enough to see it happening again in our family with Mendy. A Freilichen Channukah and all the bruchos to you and all the staff at your awesome yeshiva!

    did anyone else notice Melech Givre from Baltimore i can’t believe he is in yeshiva now. I remember when he was a little guy setting up the Cheder Chabad of Baltimore preschool chairs before he went off to school. He is a great kid we miss him here!
