Photos: Woody Allen Spotted on President Street
Woody Allen, along with a swarm of Paparazzi, was spotted this morning in Crown Heights. The comedian is acting in a film by producer John Turturro, who chose the President Street home of Eli Wuench as the setting for one of the scenes.

S’dacht zach mir that a few years back John Turturro had a meeting with some of the Hanholeh of Tomchei Tmimim on Ocean Parkway because he was in the early stages of working on a movie, and he needed to consult about some Jewish matters. It’s nice to see that R’ John repaid the favor by gracing our neighborhood with the shooting of a scene, especially one that features Rav Allan Konigsberg SHLIT”A.

Another Warped Film
From the director’s life story and the location he’s chosen- of all places- for the filming, I strongly suspect this movie will feature some dysfunctional tidbits about religious Jews that have nothing to do with reality and everything to do with the fantasies of the disillusioned and the dissatisfied. Hey, if they’re so fascinated by us and so lacking in a life of their own, why don’t they become religious?.. I think the poor guy badly wants to be mekarev’ed.
