Machon Chana Offers Classes During Vacation

Vacation Crown Heights offered continues programming throughout this week. Hundreds of women took advantage of this wonderful opportunity, as the program is attracting more and more interest. A full array of classes, workshops and courses has brought women together.

Highlights of this week Mrs Chana Epstein gave a fantastic workshop titled – You and Your Spouse, Transcending the Difference. This turned out to be an incredible indepth discussion on Sholom Bais. With decades of experience as a marriage counselor, Mrs Epsteins addressed modern day strategies to grapple marriage challenges, and many women took the opportunity to ask personal questions.

Another highlight was the Wednesday morning class by Mrs Bronya Shaffer on Anger Management. Mrs Shaffer gave practical tips on how to control of yourself in those challenging moments. The class was so sought after that due to popular demand Mrs Shaffer will be doing a follow-up Anger Management Part II and Teaching an additional Thursday morning class. “I feel empowered to be able to apply the tips we learned, into my daily life. The class was practical and reassuring” Said, one pleased participant. A hands on learning experience was our Wig Wisdom thought by Mrs Chana Kurinsky, experienced shaitle macher. Mrs Kurinsky tought what to look for when buying a shaitle, what to ask for- so you are satisfied with the results.

In addition, went around and told each attendee their face shape and shaitle styles that compliment it. The eager to learn audience requested an additional class with Chana, and she will doing a second class this coming Wednesday morning on demonstrating how to work with your sheitel to avoid constant trips to the shaite lmacher. Bonus addition, begin learning the dos and don’ts for washing your individual wig.

A few key classes, in Vacation Ch, is our ongoing Yiddish class, Chavrusah and Chinuch workshop. This coming week brings a new array, and new excitement! The week starts with a workshop is something we question ourselves a lot for: Am I slipping since I’m married? Discover the secret of keeping up your Chassidishe standards. Learn to strengthen your Yiddishkeit and Chassidishkeit, with Mrs. Leah Gurary. A challenge lots of us encounter, when our children come of age: Its Time to Marry Off My Children. Mrs Sara Junick gives an informative course preparing parents for the Shidduch Scene, to make it a smooth, enjoyable journey. The week concludes with Rabbi Levi Brackman MA giving a five hour course: To Help You While You Transition – Back to Work Seminar. This seminar will inspire, advise and give wisdom and practical tools to help you find clarity and direction as you go through these troubled economic times. The lessons, wisdom and advice that Brackman gives is practical but comes from the Torah and Judaism’s other ancient texts. “Levi Brackman’s seminar was very insightful and has been very helpful to me. I am especially excited about the idea I learned at the seminar of brainstorming my passions, and then volunteering for a day with people in professions or vocations that I am interested in. I am trying to figure out if trading is my one true passion for me, or if there is something else I love more,” Said Zev Barnett, Trader on Wall Street.
