Tire Slasher Strikes Again – Over 15 Cars Targeted

For the second time in under two weeks, vandals slashed the tires of several parked cars in Crown Heights last night, this time upping their tally to 15.

The cars that were targeted were parked on Crown St. between Albany and Kingston Ave., as well as between Brooklyn and New York Ave.

It is likely that police will investigate this incident as well as a possible hate crime.

why on earth dont we have video cams all around the community?
it could Gd forbid be something alot worse then a tire slashing.

The cops only care about cell phone thefts round Utica, not about Jewish-owned cars being vandalized.

  • Mr. Corvair

That’s why my car stays in the garage at night, and why I wouldn’t buy a house in this hood unless it came with a garage.

  • Police Didn-t beat THEM Up

CAN’T HELP NOTICING. NOT EXACTLY CLEAR ON THEIR CRITERIA FOR BEATING PEOPLE UP BUT IT SEEMS THAT YOU HAVE TO BE LAW ABIDING TO GET ON THEIR BAD SIDE. NOT LIKELY THEY’LL MAKE MUCH OF AN EFFORT TO GET THE PERPETRATOR, PROBABLY A FRIEND OF THEIRS.

  • THIS IS A HATE CRIME

The location is a clearly Jewish block, the heart of the Jewish community – and the crime is a hate crime. No use just telling the media about isolated incidents as though they are regular crimes which all neighborhoods experience. The history of ALL these crimes should be well publicized until it is clear that the nature of the violence, vandalism and theft that goes on here is hate crimes. Apparently the police have been covering up crimes of an anti-semitic nature. Tell it like it is. It’s time the truth came out if we want any change.
