The break-in occurred on Crown St. between Brooklyn & New York Aves.

Crown St. Home Latest Burglary Victim

A Crown Heights home was broken into last night, on the block of Crown St. between Brooklyn and New York Aves.ย The thief broke the lock on a basement window and crawled inside. He stole $100 in cash and a pair of shoes.

The police department suspects this burglary may be connected to the rash of bar-bending break-ins that have been occurring over the past month. They are reviewing surveillance footage from a security camera to try and identify the perpetrator.

They were very lucky, “B. H.”
When will you people wake up that this area is not safe, you need alarms that make a lot of noise and you need to be trained in self-defense programs(including the use of guns to protect yourself and your most valuable possessions–the family.

  • Creepy.

Must have been expensive shoes. B”H that’s all he took, and the family is safe.

I saw someone on that block taking pictures of a house. I was not able to do much at the time but i wonder if it is the same house. it was a house with a really pretty garden and a black women with a camera. thought she was taking pictures of the garden but not so sure honestly.

Are you serious because it was a “black woman ” it looked suspicious Because I wonder if you would of still said that if it was a “White woman ” holding that camera in a nice area

  • Please post surveillance video

It is important that the surveillance videos are posted ASAP.

In past burglaries, Chaim Mitnitzki of SafeZone24 and Zushe Rimler of Mezuri Systems have been extremely cooperative and helpful in obtaining surveillance video from places where they installed security cameras.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about another installer who installed quite a few security cameras in the neighborhood, but does not return calls.

More police need to be on the streets of crime heights. No more doughnuts for the police. That is the only thing they love to do eat a doughnut. Some times they drink beer i saw a cop do this in uniform in a bar in Crowhnheights.
