No Restraining Order, Both Groups Sitting in the Offices

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Lawyers for the Lang Vaad appeared today in court for a arguments on the matter of the Temporary Restraining Order, which they wanted to have reinstated until the hearings on June 3rd on the matter of elections.

In an appearance before the lower courts the judge turned down the request, the then scene repeated itself again in appeals court with the judge turning down the request. The original date set for June 3rd still stands and both parties can be in the office until then.

In the meantime there are police officers stationed outside the community council and Vaad offices to keep the peace.

    What a wonderful group of leaders my children have to look up to in Crown Heights. Neither the Rabbonim, the VAAD, the Gabboim, nor even the Merkos have any clout in CH.

    Amazing how few people cared to vote, and the only ones that did vote were the Korach Gang from each side. How pathetic!

    and all they are concrened about is who will control. not to mention that the elctions for the past 15 years was about the maschisin/rabonistin taking control which they did and we are still in the same mess, and even deeper.

    the anti maschistin, never got elected, (of cource becuse they never qualified to run) even lang, rubaskin et all, were and are strom maschistin. so this fight is like the democrats fighting themselves.

    but it is all at the expense of the comunity at large.

    All those worried for our children remember the best Chinuch is dependant on Father and Mother. If parents are a role model that is no fighting between parents and tznius in the home and papa has a shiur every day and does homework with the children it will do wonders.

    You know what is really frightening? There are so many ordinary people who are really disgusted & upset with what’s going on, but our voices aren’t heard. Is this a democracy or communism? The few dictate to the majority, use terror tactics to get their way & we, intelligent, articulate people, aren’t stopping them. Why not?

    I can partially answer the question. Women in this community have no say. So 50% of the population is automatically disqualified. But why Anash allow themselves to be bullied & pulled in different directions is beyond me.

    We need a coup, revolution, rebellion, whatever. That is, a take-over by responsible individuals who will get them all out of the picture, inc. the fighting Rabbonim, Hendel, Chanina, Lang, Herzog, Poltorak & everyone else who fights, Mossers & generally makes this community non-functioning, not viable, & a huge joke in City Hall. Once they are all gone we can have new, democratic elections with every man & woman voting, in secret, without intimidation & threats.

    Maybe WE, the people, should petition the courts to have OUR wishes heard. What are we, stupid, mindless puppets to be controlled by Mendel Hendel or Moshe Rubashkin from his jail cell (like John Gotti)?

    Finally: Rabbonim should not mix into politics. It is not their place. And it has been said before: if they don’t have sholom between them, the thugs in CH won’t let sholom reign either.

    Dude, it may help you on June third if you can show 1, just one major accomplishment between election day and court day. And that goes for both sides. Whoever can show more interest in serving the community will stand a better chance.
