First-Ever Tanya Printed Aboard Private Jet

by CrownHeights.info

In a unique milestone in the global campaign to spread the wellsprings of Chassidus, what is believed to be the first-ever Tanya printed aboard a private airplane has now taken flight.

The historic printing was sourced and planned by Yossi Farro, a young Chabad activist and social media personality known for bringing Jewish pride and mitzvah observance to high-profile figures and public audiences.

Farro has built a significant social media following through his energetic and highly visible tefillin campaigns, often documenting encounters with prominent Jewish figures, entrepreneurs, celebrities, and influencers. His online platforms feature the slogan “Join me as I Wrap the Most Powerful Jews in the World,” reflecting his mission of encouraging Jewish connection and mitzvah observance through personal encounters and viral content. Farro, a Chabad-raised New Yorker, has become widely known for approaching public figures and offering them the opportunity to put on tefillin, turning many of those moments into widely shared expressions of Jewish identity and pride.

The printing carries expands the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s worldwide campaign encouraging the printing of Tanya in every corner of the globe. Beginning in the 1970s and expanding further in the years that followed, the Rebbe emphasized that Tanya should be printed wherever Jews are found, transforming each location into a place illuminated by the teachings of Chassidus.

Over the decades, thousands of editions have been printed in cities and remote communities across the world. Tanyas have been printed on college campuses, military bases, behind the Iron Curtain in former Soviet territories, near sites of former Nazi concentration camps, and even in active conflict zones.

Each Tanya printing is traditionally assigned its own edition and location, marking another point on the ever-growing map of Chassidus spreading throughout the world. The Rebbe explained that printing the Tanya in a particular place creates a unique connection between that location and the teachings contained within its pages, encouraging local Jews to study and internalize its message.

Now, that journey has reached yet another frontier — the skies.

With the first Tanya printed aboard a private jet, coordinated through the efforts of Yossi Farro and printed high above the earth by Prince Alex von Fürstenberg, another chapter has been added to the remarkable story of the Rebbe’s campaign, bringing the light of Chassidus to yet another place once thought beyond the reach of a printing press.
