Vaad Talmidei Hatemimim Launches New ‘Hanachos’ Magazine
As bochurim across Mesivtas immerse themselves in the annual Mivtza Hanachos program ahead of Gimmel Tammuz, the Vaad Talmidei Hatemimim has unveiled the newest edition of its Hanachos weekly magazine, designed to enrich and inspire participants throughout the program.
The magazine accompanies the Vaad’s Hanachos initiative, which encourages bochurim to watch the Rebbe’s farbrengens and prepare written hanachos—summaries and transcriptions of the Rebbe’s sichos—in their own words, strengthening both understanding and connection to the Rebbe’s Torah.
The newly released issue combines historical perspective, practical inspiration, and the work of today’s bochurim. Leading the debut edition is an in-depth feature titled “Within the Hour,” an article by Rabbi Yosef Minkowitz of Montreal exploring the history of hanachos and the efforts of the Rebbe’s chozrim and transcribers to preserve the Rebbe’s Torah. The article recounts how the famed chozer Reb Yoel Kahn and others labored to prepare and publish the Rebbe’s sichos, including remarkable stories of the Rebbe personally reviewing and editing hanachos.
The magazine also highlights the heart of the program itself — showcasing top hanachos submitted by participating bochurim from Mesivtas across the country, with winning entries featured from Shiur Alef, Shiur Beis, and Shiur Gimmel.
This publication continues a growing tradition of Hanachos magazines produced by the Vaad as part of the broader Mivtza Hanachos initiative. Previous editions have featured interviews, handwritten manuscripts, and articles focused on the art and importance of transcribing the Rebbe’s farbrengens.
According to the Vaad, the weekly publication is intended not merely as a supplement, but as a tool to deepen the experience of the Hanachos program and foster a stronger bond with the Rebbe through careful listening, understanding, and recording of his Torah.
