Detailed Tishrei Guide with Halachos and Minhagim Available For Russian Jewish Communities
Ahead of the upcoming month of Tishrei, Moscow published a unique and well-thought guide in both the holy tongue, as well as Russian, that will help illuminate the journey for thousands of Jews in Moscow, and in all of Russia. It includes a detailed guide to all the laws and customs, beginning from ShabbosSelichos and up until Shabbos Bereishis.
The impressive booklet, which was printed on high-quality colored chrome paper, was published by the Gabbaim of the central “Beis Menachem – Chabad Lubavitch” shul, at the “Marina Roscha” Jewish Community Center, headed by the Chief Rabbi of Russia, HaGaon Rabbi Berel Lazar Shlita. It is distributed in all Jewish communities and community centers throughout Moscow.
Edited by Shliach Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Mondshine, precisely translated by Shliach Rabbi Nissan Rupo, and professionally designed by the ‘Mevaser Tov Moscow’ editorial team, the guide has become an important tool that brings together the laws and customs of the month of Tishrei, prepared in clear and accessible language, with many details specifically tailored to Moscow.
Alongside the halachic guidance, the booklet incorporates ads from the shul about Torah classes, information from the central “Keren Chaya Mushka” Gemach, and other charitable organizations, all of which make the guide a true spiritual-community guide. This guide joins all the previous guides, which are prepared and published ahead of each holiday, for the joy and convenience of the entire public. There is no doubt that this guide constitutes a valuable spiritual gift for every Jew who seeks to enter the High Holy Days and the Tishrei holidays with knowledge, preparation, and a true connection to the Jewish Mesora and its many customs.
This booklet is part of a large array of thoughtful and thought provoking preparations by the Gabaim at the Central Synagogue for the High Holy Days, in parallel with a massive renovation of the building’s main entrance, and additional improvements for the hundreds and thousands of Jews expected to attend prayers, classes, and many holiday events.
