
BDE: Rabbi Menachem Raitport, 57, OBM
With great sadness we report the sudden and untimely passing of Rabbi Menachem Raitport OBM, Crown Heights resident known as an expert in Nikur. He passed away in a tragic car crash on the 24th of Nissan, 5785.
He was 57 years old.
Born, raised, and educated in Brooklyn, Menachem was a well-known Crown Heights business owner for many years, providing for many from his Kingston Ave meat store. A staunch supporter and advocate of the community, he ran for public office in many elections.
He is survived by his wife and children, as well as his parents and siblings.
The Levaya will take place Thursday, passing by 770 at approximately 12:00, and at the Beis Hachayim at 1:00pm.
