The Battle of Brooklyn In August 1776 Was All To Build A Jewish Neighborhood In Crown Heights?

by CrownHeights.info

Sometimes you just have to wonder what what is going through a person head.

X account @Ryansikorski10 had a “revelation”, among many other extreme views posted to his social media, in that the Battle of Brooklyn, a battle of the American Revolutionary War, took place all that a Jewish neighborhood could one day be built in Crown Heights.

Perhaps he truly believes the saying “Bishvili Nivra Haolam”.

In the Friday post to his X account, @Ryansikorski10 quoted a CrownHeights.info article from July of this year saying “The Battle of Brooklyn, also known as the Battle of Long Island, took place in August 1776, marking the first military engagement after the Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4th of that year.” He then added “All so they could build a jewish neighborhood, very similar to what takes place today in the West Bank.”

To prove his point, and to drive it home, he linked to a Wikipedia article and wrote “The founding of Chabad Lubavitch was just a year before in 1775 in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.” In case you were wondering, the linked Wikipedia article says no such thing.

If you find this whole idea rather confusing, so does pretty much everyone else.

X handle @boredjew was apparently bored enough to read the post, and even bored enough to respond with “I spend way more time than I should on this website, and even I am genuinely confused if this is a serious post, satire, or some intentional combination thereof.”

Regardless of the intent, enjoy this satirical level brain twister and share it for a laugh.
