Bochurim Memorize Sichos in Memory of Young Girl

40 students at Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch of Queens studied and memorized the Rebbe’s Sichos on different holidays to commemorate the 13th Yahrtzeit of Batsheva Kanelsky, OBM.

Batsheva, daughter of Rabbi Mordechai and Shterney Kanelsky, had a short life of 65 days, but was the vehicle that inspired thousands of individuals to increase their good deeds.

Rabbi Kanelsky, Executive Director of Bris Avrohom, spoke on behalf of his wife, Shterney Kanelsky, Associate Director, about the many individuals who were motivated to perform mitzvahs for her wellbeing and in whose memory so many others continue to do so today.

This project is one of the annual commemorations the Kanelskys sponsor in Batsheva’s memory.

Rabbi Menachem Mendel Scharf, Menahel Ruchni at the Yeshiva, organized this project along with Rabbi Mendel Ginsberg, Mashpia of the yeshiva, and Menachem Mendel Kanelsky, one of the students in the graduating class Batsheva’s brother.

As a well-deserved reward for their efforts, the students received seforim customized with their names, were treated to a lunch with sushi and snacks, and – as a surprise – were presented with pens inscribed with the Rebbe’s photo as a memento of the occasion.
