World’s Largest Megilah a Guinness Record

The world’s largest Megilah, written by Lubavitcher Sofer Rabbi Menachem Mendel Kenig of Rechovot, Israel, has recently been completed and will be put up for sale.

The mammoth Book of Esther measures a whopping 75cm (29.5 inches) in diameter.

A unique Megilah case – made entirely of leather – was made custom for this Megilah by the D. Reuber Binding Co.

Can not believe this is largest, there are those centuries old with big ornaments and drawings, one of such is in Kiev Synagogue. It is 100% kosher.

i dont think its right to use a holy thing like meghilla to break a record, unless he made it for the megilla and while he was at it he broke the record

I don’t think it’s possible to make it bigger the parchment doesn’t get bigger then this

There is a width and there is a length. If you have ornaments and drawings every other column, length would be much bigger. When we talk about size of parchment, is not square footage what counts?
