Jewish Press’s Amazing Tribute to the Rebbe

This week’s readers of the Jewish Press will be treated to a pleasant surprise. In honor of Gimmel Tamuz a 42 page booklet entitled “The Rebbe, An Appreciation” along with an amazing introduction by the Jewish Press and its staff.

The booklet was originally compiled by Rabbi Yisroel Shmotkin of Lubavitch of Wisconsin, and has been distributed by JEM of the past few years.

This amazing accomplishment was done by Hatomim Yossi Bendet in cooperation with Jewish Educational media, and made possible by the Regals Foundation and The Print House.

Dear Friend,

On Tuesday, the third of Tammuz (june 15th), Jews around the world will mark the sixteenth yahrtzeir of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson זצוללה“ה נבג”מ זי”ע.

While the Rebbe’s Torah accomplishments are well-known and have been published in hundred of Seforim, on the occasion of his Yohrtzeit we humble share a sampling of the Rebbe’s approach, which inspired – and continues to inspire – our generation. We pray that the Rebbe’s example serves as an impetus for each of us to act on our G-d-given potential, to grow in all aspects of Torah and Mitzvos, and to spread them to our brethren worldwide.

In Jewish tradition, the Yahrtzeit of a Tzaddik is a time for reflection, learning, and acts of loving-kindness. We urge you to join Jews throughout the world to learn an additional Torah lesson, recite and additional Teffillah, and give extra Tzedakah. Let’s try and employ some of the Rebbe’s selflessness and care to our own interactions with family, friends and strangers. There can be no more fitting tribute to the Rebbe than millions of Mitzvos performed on this day.

The Yahrtzeir of a Tzaddik is also a particularly auspicious time for Hashem to hear our prayers, particularly those recited at the Tzaddik’s resting place. On this day, tens of thousands will visit the Rebbe’s Ohel in Queens. The Ohel is located at 226-20 Francis Lewis Boulevard. To send a letter to be placed at the Ohel you can fax it to (718) 723-4444, or e-mail ohel@ohelchabad.org. For driving directions or more information please visit OhelChabad.org.

In the merit of our collective efforts, may Hashem grant us the coming of Moshiach speedily.

Sincerely,
The Jewish Press
Management and Staff

We MUST support the Jewish Press by subscriptions and ads. The “yeshivish” worl is steering away from the J.P. to publications that are more Litvish. The Jewish Press was always a friend of Chabad and we owe them our FULL support.
