Bruce Blakeman Visits Crown Heights, Joins Simchas Beis Hashoeva Celebrations

Nassau County Executive and New York Republican gubernatorial nominee Bruce Blakeman visited the Crown Heights community Monday evening during Chol Hamoed Sukkos, meeting with community members and joining the nightly Simchas Beis Hashoeva celebrations.
Blakeman’s visit was hosted by the Crown Heights Republican Committee together with members of the local Jewish community. He attended a Sukkah gathering in the neighborhood, where he met with residents and community members.
Blakeman was accompanied during the visit by Rabbi Zalman Wolowik, Shliach to the Five Towns, and Yitzchok Rimler, leader of the Crown Heights Republican Committee.
Later in the evening, Blakeman made an appearance at the annual Simchas Beis Hashoeva celebration in Crown Heights, joining the festive dancing and addressing the crowd.
In remarks to those gathered, Blakeman spoke about Jewish pride and also briefly discussed his campaign for governor ahead of the November election.
The visit comes as Blakeman campaigns across New York in the final weeks leading up to the November 2026 gubernatorial election. He currently serves as Nassau County Executive, a position he has held since 2022, and is the Republican nominee for governor.
The Crown Heights visit also follows Blakeman’s earlier community tour of the neighborhood, during which he met with local business owners and residents and heard concerns regarding taxes, the cost of doing business, public safety and other issues affecting the community.
