Adar A Time to Increase – Thinking Breiter!

Thinking Breiter is all about increasing, increasing what we do, increasing what we aspire to, increasing what we give.

Our sages teach: משנכנס אדר מרבין בשמחה, in the month of Adar we increase in joy. There’s a soul-stirring Chassidishe way to read this Maamar Chazal: משנכנס אדר מרבין. In the month of Adar we increase. Period. And that increase is done, בשמחה, with complete and utter joy.

The Rebbe applied the word “breitkeit” or “harchava” in virtually every single letter that the Rebbe penned in his holy hand to Oholei Torah. The Breitkeit ethos embodies the heart and soul of our talmidim, melamdim, parents, and entire educational philosophy. We endeavor to broaden, grow, and increase — all with complete and utter joy.

Today, Purim Katan, Breitkeit and increasing with joy means something personal: raising $500,000 to help ease the tuition burden in our community. Part of our Breiter belief is that every single talmid should be welcomed with open arms and an open heart. Upon this belief, Oholei Torah, spearheaded by its dedicated Board of Directors, has allotted over $7,000,000 — $7,079,121 to be exact! — in scholarship funds to raise the dignity and relieve the stress of our families, friends, and community.

But we truly, sincerely cannot do it without you. We beseech you to partner with us in Thinking Breiter, by giving and giving generously to our LIVE campaign.

In true Adar spirit, we ask for you to increase, to be מרבין, and to do so with complete and utter joy — בשמחה!

Many people you personally know — relatives, friends, neighbors, community members, someone you sit next to in Shul — will benefit directly from the scholarships you help fund.

Thank you for Thinking Breiter — Beyond Ourselves, and increasing in joy and with joy!
