Video: Enraged Arab Destroys Kosher Supermarket

Following President Trump’s announcement recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, this morning, an Arab wearing a Keffiyah and holding a Palestinian flag took a baseball bat to a kosher supermarket in Amsterdam, while police stood by and watched. Only after the supermarket was destroyed, did they intervene and arrest him.

Actually, it was a restaurant. I fully agree it looks a bit strange that officers seem to do nothing for the first minute or so, but let’s provide some background and details. Reason the police waited was for backup and to see if the guy was armed with anything else. At the moment of the attack, the restaurant was closed and there wasn’t anybody there. In the Netherlands, a police officer cannot just pull a gun, like in the US. They did spray the suspect with pepper spray.

The restaurant actually got great support tonight from many different politicians. Throughout the day, many bypasses asked if they could help with the clean up. Also, the ambassador of Israel came for dinner tonight.

Still, it is sad and highly disturbing that this could happen.

Obviously the police were gathering sufficient evidence before they arrested him.

In fairness to the police it was not an easy situation. Hard to justify shooting a guy who was only doing property damage, and hard otherwise to take him down without getting hurt themselves.

In fairness to police they were only models for police uniforms they did want to get their uniform soiled with urine.
