Female IDF Soldier Stabbed; Condition Critical
A female IDF soldier was stabbed in Kikar Adam in Shomron, West Bank, and is reportedly in critical condition and fighting for her life. The terrorist was neutralized by gunfire from other soldiers.
The victim sustained a stab wound to her neck. She was transported to the Hadassah-Mt. Scopus hospital, and is undergoing urgent surgery.
Initial reports say a second terrorist was apprehended by authorities in connection with the incident.
This follows a previous incident that occurred today: an Israeli police officer was lightly injured when a car rammed into the security checkpoint he was manning near the Ofra settlement in the West Bank.
During the incident, an officer shot toward the car in suspicion, however the vehicle continued down the road. According to police, the vehicle came to a stop after a few hundred meters and the driver fled by foot in the direction of the nearby Palestinian village of Silwad.
