Sara: The police volunteered on their own time because they thought it was a really cool idea and they love kids. In fact, one of the “secret service” guys was actually chief of police in Norwich, NY, and he came for the fun of it.
$$$$$$$: It wasn’t cheap by any means, but parents are paying for their kids to have a great time and we’re not afraid to spend a little to give them an extra special thrill. In fact, tonight, Rick Wallenda is performing his highwire act over our basketball courts. (He’s a first cousin of Nik Wallenda, the guy who tightroped across Niagara Falls a few weeks ago.)
