So don’t b let dwn, listen 2 the story. Thank u

Credit must be given where credit is due. It was recounted that Rabbi Bryski escaped from Poland to Lithuania with a group of Lubavitcher bochurim, where they obtained visas to Japan from the Japanese consul, Sugihara. They then traveled through Russia to Japan, and remained in Shanghai throughout the war.

It is well known that the visas obtained through Sugihara were through the efforts of the Mirrer Yeshiva. The Mirrer Yeshiva was the main contingent traveling to Japan, and other smaller groups – such as R’ Bryski and the Lubavitcher bochurim – benefitted from this miraculous escape by joining this group. It is also well known amongst Lubavitchers who survived in Shanghai that the legendary Rosh Yeshiva of Mir, HaRav Chaim Shmulevitz zt”l, took care of the Lubavitcher bochurim in Shanghai in an extraordinary way, providing them with all their needs.

This was not mentioned when the story was recounted, and should be known.
