Friends and family of Rabbi Immanuel Schochet, OBM, have gathered in Toronto and New York to mark the Shloshim of his passing.
They remembered the man who touched lives and electrified audiences around the globe with his unparalleled scholarship and erudition.
The author of 35 books, a beloved rov, and an academic of high regard, Rabbi Schochet made an enormous contribution to the promotion of an intellectually-rigorous and Torah-true Judaism.
A memorial video paying tribute to the life and legacy of Rabbi Dr. Immanuel Schochet was shown at both Shloshim events – in Toronto and New York.

This rabbi was a very good guy. I’m sure many people can say that. I personally know that he helped my husband and I deal with a tough situation we encountered when dealing with some very cruel people. He was very to the point and solved things easily. He was passionate about only allowing GOOD people in your life. No matter what – Cut you losses and surround yourself with only good people. I had looked forward to seeing him when I went to Canada again – literally, a week or two after his passing. Deepest condolences to his family.
