Video: Algemeiner Editor Disscusses Obama Visit to Israel

A day following talks delivered by Vice President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Israel supporters at the annual AIPAC policy conference in Washington D.C., Algemeiner Editor Dovid Efune spoke to a Real News TV panel about U.S. – Israel relations.

Asked about the Peace Process and the possibility that President Obama would pressure the Israelis to make concessions during his upcoming visit to Israel, Efune said that there are “two major obstructions that he is going to encounter.”

“One is, his approach to this, which is more concessions is the way to go…Israelis have tried, they have actually done it..and what they have been faced with is more terror, directly.” The second obstruction said Efune, “is kind of a Groucho Marx thing…I don’t believe any Palestinian government would accept any offer that Israel was actually prepared to make.”

The panel also discussed Iran, internal Israeli politics, and how President Obama is likely to be received by the Israeli public during his visit.

Dovid is very smart and right on. Very impressed with the Groucho Marx comment. I was born on the day Groucho passed on and Dovid is a few years younger than me. Dovid is a man with wisdom beyond his years. I remember lending him my car when he was in yeshiva and how well he took care of it, and have always been seriously impressed with him in general.
