Volgograd, Russia – This week in Russia’s Volga Region, the Jewish community of Volgograd hosted the international seminar ‘Jewish WorldView ‘. The event involved 33 youth from 13 different settlements across Russia and Ukraine, some of whom attended such an event for the first time. Many others were glad to meet up with friends they made at last year’s gathering.

Participants enjoyed a busy schedule loaded with activities such as intellectual games focusing on Jewish traditions, swimming, discussions, singing, bonfires, and competitions. Natalia Kurchatova came from Saratov to lead a workshop on Jewish traditional dances, while various presentations were made by two Rabbis from Moscow, a guest from Georgia, and Chief Rabbi of Volgograd Zalman Yoffe.

This seminar was made possible through financial support provided by the Federation of Jewish Communities of the CIS, for the ‘We are Together’ Project.
