Chabad of Peabody Dedicates New Chabad House

Chabad of Peabody in Massachusetts, directed by Rabbi Nechemia and Raizel Schusterman, dedicated a new Chabad Center last Sunday.

A crowd of over 250 friends and supporters gathered for the momentous occasion, held just one week prior to the Yahrtzeit of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, to whose vision, dream and legacy the building is dedicated.

Congratulating the Shluchim on the opening of the state-of-the-art center was Rabbi Yossi Lipsker, Head Shliach of the North Shore of Boston, who spoke warmly of the accomplishments of Rabbi and Mrs. Schusterman and blessed them with continued growth and success.

The Mayor of Peabody, Edward Bettencourt, spoke as well, and issued a citation recognizing the work of Chabad of Peabody.

A number of donors spoke passionately about the impact of Chabad of Peabody, and the dedication of the Shluchim. Each was given a beautiful customized crystal menorah, recognizing their work in helping spread yiddishkeit in the area.

As adults mingled over a buffet brunch, the children in attendance enjoyed entertainment by a clown and bounce house.

Rabbi Nechemia and Raizel Schusterman both spoke as well, thanking the community for their support, and dreaming along with them – helping make the dream a reality. They also thanked Mr. Allen and Deanna Alevy, of Long Beach, California for their lead gift that helped make this possible.
