Hundreds of friends and supporters of Chabad in Berlin gathered for an evening of thanks and recognition for those who helped make the Jewish center’s activities a reality in the past 15 years.
Honorees included Berlin’s mayor Mr. Klaus Wowereit, Israel’s ambassador to Germany Mr. Yaakov Hadas, head of Berlin Jewish community Mr. Gideon Yoffe and Chief Rabbi of Hulon, Israel Rabbi Yochanan Gourarie.
The mayor emphasized in his speech the importance of Chabad’s activities in the city, and the revolution in Jewish identity that has occurred since Chabad arrived in Berlin 15 years before.
The mayor ended off by wishing the head Shliach to Berlin, Rabbi Yehudah Teichtel, even more success that before in his activities.
The evening concluded with the melodies of Chasidic singing star Avraham Fried, to which the mayor leaped to his feet for a lively dance, along with the Berlin Shluchim.

You would think by now, all the ‘n’tzuchim (sparks) would of been elevated already ‘over there’, let alone everywhere else in the world, so we can finally get out of there and here to our holy temple, Bais Hamigdosh, with the Geula Shaimah! Admosia.
