Florida Chabad House Celebrates 11 Years

On Sunday, June 1^st, Chabad @ the Beaches in Jacksonville, Florida celebrated 11 years with a beautiful Gala Dinner. The event was held at the prestigious One Ocean resort in Atlantic Beach.

There were many moving and inspiring moments at the Gala. Mr. Michael Scharf, spoke about his father, Mr. Aaron Scharf, whose first Yahrtzeit was honored at the Dinner. Mr. Aaron Scharf and his late beloved wife Blanche lived in Ponte Vedra since 1978. They are Chabad at the Beaches’ namesake.

The annual Community Service award was given to Dr. Menachem Czarka, and Ms. Sandra Lee received the Women of Valor award.

Chabad at the Beaches is directed by Rabbi Nochum and Leah Kurinsky, along with Rabbi Eli and Esther Wilansky – who serve as program directors.
